Isle of Man TT 2027 schedule: Senior TT moved to Friday

The organisers are essentially admitting that the 2023 schedule, while commercially successful, left the Senior TT exposed to the weather disruptions that have plagued recent editions — this year's race was decided by a single lap before a red flag. Giving the Senior its own dedicated Friday, with Saturday as a genuine contingency buffer, is a direct structural response to that problem rather than a cosmetic tweak. The reduction to one Superstock race is framed as a quality-over-quantity call, but it also reflects the reality that the second race was already dropped in 2026 anyway. With the 100th Senior TT falling in 2027, the organisers have a clear incentive to make sure the centenary race actually finishes properly.
